Obsolescence

Here is a lovely piece of my own space far from all other forces. There is no networking here, no one stalking a fake image of someone they think they will find. It is just me, just my past here. It is far back enough that it is obsolete. Colors, words, phrases, lyrics, sounds, smells, sights, laughs, feels, are obsolescent. I need obsoletion. A place where things don't really matter. People don't see. And time is your own. Words are your own. This is my corner, come and go as you wish, but don't stop for long or you'll fall into obsoletion.

The Forgotten Artist and the Infamous Man: Adolf Hitler

Horrible man. But I also believe his paintings are cast aside just because he was so horrible...maybe that's not a bad reason ;) but here is a sampling, what do you think?

People are just the way they should be

People are so interesting sometimes.
Okay I take that back...people are ALWAYS interesting.
Just the way they should be.

My music professor is about 5 foot 1
with long curly hair bunched up on top
and a short buzz all around.
He has ear rings and a tatoo.
He loves music passionately.
Just like he should.
I ride the bus with about 20 other regulars,
and even those I don't talk to
we smile at each other as we pass by on campus.
Just like we should.
My English professor lectures about every aspect of life
except English.
And we scholars take notes anyway.
Just like we should.
I see a young married couple
riding their old multi colored posture bikes together everyday.
The one time I saw them walking
the young husband picked up his wife
and kissed her right it front of the whole world.
Just the way he should :)
In my geography class there is a girl with long curly bright red hair.
I just found out her name,
and it looks like she has been longing for a friend
just as much as I have,
now we laugh and giggle when we're not supposed to,
just like friends should.

Closer to Heaven

"For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return." -Leonardo Da Vinci

My best friend Kate and I love to swing. We go to 'our park' (as we like to call it) late at night usually if we are really happy, or really distraught.
We feel it brings us closer to heaven :)

Right now what I need, and what I will ALWAYS need

I need my religion. I need it so much. And I love it, I HAVE it! I am so lucky. However important it is to love what you believe, there is something more important. What you do with it. And what I am going to do with it is...
LIVE it :) and SHARE it.

I learned a very important lesson from someone I don't even know, here it is:

"The fact that we hide treasures from the Lord doesn't only apply to our tangible treasures. Our hearts, the most valuable possession we own, can be hid from the Lord and from men by our lack of love towards each other. If this happens, for whatever reason (be it unhealthy obsessions or mismatched priorities), our ability to be our full selves is diminished, and we lose that spark that gave love to life. We are a shadow of our former selves, a shell of the past. By refusing to lose our hearts to Heavenly Father, we risk losing our hearts completely. Who and what we care about most in the place of Him will be lost to us forever. The tendency to cling is in all mankind, and therein lies the danger of loss. If we would only happily yield things could be different."

Isn't it beautiful? I am going to happily yield and lose my heart

I am horrible with links...but here is the url address :)http://implyinganapplication.blogspot.com/2011/07/old-notes-old-friends.html

Thank you so much Kelly, for leading me to this. I dedicate this to you :)
